Rodgers and Hammerstein’s American classic was more than a hit – it was the first real phenomenon in the modern Broadway era.  Oklahoma! is the story of Laurey and the two rivals for her affections: Curly, a cowboy; and Jud, the hired farmhand. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Oklahoma! also tackles class issues between the farmers and the cattlemen in the rugged landscape of a state in its infancy. Fans are invited to attend a free boot camp class at US Airways Center

The Phoenix Mercury and Rock Star Boot Camp are inviting fans to take their shot at boot camp on the main court at US Airways Center, when the club hosts a free Rock Star boot camp class on Saturday, September 8 from 9:30 – 10:15 a.m.  Registration will begin at 9 a.m. Admission is free to the public.

Rock Star Boot Camp’s creator, Curtis Hoekstra, will take fans through an interval-based boot camp training system on the Phoenix Mercury’s main court. Read more »

ART for AIDS event supporting Aunt Rita's Foundation

Just over five years ago, Aunt Rita's Foundation brought AIDS Walk Phoenix to the streets of downtown Phoenix as a fundraiser to support the many non profit agencies that provide services to the HIV/AIDS community.

Now, Aunt Rita's Foundation is proud to announce a new event, to celebrate World AIDS Day.  The RED Brunch is an exciting new Phoenix tradition.  This brunch event will be on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at the downtown Sheraton Hotel.

To kickoff this exciting new event, Exposed Gallery is hosting "ART for AIDS" on Friday night, September 14.  This is a free art event with wine, appetizers, great art, live music and more.  Exposed Gallery is located at 4225 North 7th Avenue, just north of Indian School Road. Read more »
